Making of a Love Spoon
Stage 1
Timber used for this spoon is lime. Maltese Cross for links has been cut, ball carved but still attached to cage.
Stage 2
Ball cut hole from cage, links marked out ready to be cut into shape and bowl carved out.
Stage 3
'Cutting out' now finished except for small heart on the front.
Stage 4
The spoon is now finished; to get to this stage from the previous one, takes quite a long time due to all the sanding and 'clean up'.
Stage 5
Side and front elevation of the totally finished spoon which has been stained, washed and polished.
